Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist – Onsite in Sandy Springs, GA
Pay: $40-45/hr based on experience
Duration: 5 Month contract with possibility of extension
Summary:
Our client is seeking an EHS Specialist to develop, implement, and improve Environment, Health, and Safety programs at their Sandy Springs and Atlanta, GA locations. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations while fostering a culture of safety and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain and improve EHS programs (e.g., emergency management, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, hazard communication).
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Develop safety procedures for new processes, equipment, and chemicals.
- Lead incident investigations and recommend preventive measures.
- Provide EHS training for employees on topics like hazard communication and emergency preparedness.
- Support hazardous waste management and disposal.
- Oversee the emergency response program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 4 years of EHS experience (manufacturing or similar industry preferred).
- Experience managing consultants, contractors, and vendors is a plus.
Salary : $40 - $45
