Summary Description:

At The Gorilla Glue Company, we're passionate about building strong brands with our fantastic team of employees. We believe in promoting a culture of excellence that empowers, engages, and connects people. The Security Supervisor at Gorilla Glue will implement facility security procedures and supervise employees and contractors involved in the security program. This role includes providing security coverage, maintaining a visible security presence, implementing access control procedures, and coordinating with emergency responders.

What will your day look like?

• Provide security coverage during normal business hours and peak staffing periods.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and visible security presence and resource for GG employees.
• Implement the facility’s access control procedures, including activating and deactivating individual access, modifying access, and administering building access for visitors and contractors.
• Perform security rounds, walking inside and outside of the building to monitor for suspicious activity.
• Monitor security cameras and other security systems for trespassing or other unusual security issues.
• Investigate reports of trespassing, thefts, or other security risks.
• Notify proper authorities and the company’s Core Response Team of security incidents or threats.
• Coordinate with emergency responders to support efficient response to employee needs. Support incident response personnel when there is a medical emergency, fire department response, or other unusual event.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR and AED training to support first response needs.
• Supervise security contractors providing security rounds / coverage as needed.
• This role does not involve physical interventions, detention of individuals, or use of any weapon. The expected response to a security or safety concern is to implement our Emergency Action Plan and notify proper authorities.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

What will you bring to the table?

• 4 years of law enforcement, security program management or military service preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Near vision sufficient to clearly see electronic displays/monitor, and distance vision sufficient to recognize people in parking lots, warehouse areas, and other large spaces. Must be able to walk several hours each day, inside and outside of the building, up and down stairs, transfering from building to building.
