S4 HANA FICO Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced S/4 HANA FICO Architect to join our client’s team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA Finance and Controlling modules and hands-on experience designing end-to-end solutions in complex enterprise environments. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA FICO solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Drive the integration of FICO with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP) and non-SAP systems.
• Provide expert guidance on S/4 HANA best practices, roadmap planning, and digital finance transformation.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, functional specs, and integration strategies.
• Conduct system assessments and develop gap analyses to recommend improvements.
• Support data migration, testing strategy, and cutover activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations of SAP S/4 HANA.
• Strong experience with SAP FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO (CCA, PCA, COPA), and Bank Accounting.
• Deep knowledge of S/4 HANA innovations in Finance including Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, Central Finance, and Embedded Analytics.
• Strong understanding of integration touchpoints with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Proven experience in solution architecture, system design, and business process reengineering.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4 HANA certification (FICO or Financial Accounting).
• Experience in Public Sector or Government environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile or Hybrid Agile methodologies.
• Prior experience working in hybrid work environments.
