Summary
The Packaging Lead will be responsible for managing the end-to-end packaging process for our cannabis products, ensuring that all packaging meets company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role involves leading a team, optimizing packaging processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and quality.

- Team Leadership: Supervise and train the packaging team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
- Process Management: Oversee the daily operations of the packaging line, ensuring that products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all packaged products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage packaging materials inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and shortages are addressed proactively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all packaging practices comply with federal, state, and local cannabis regulations, including proper labeling and documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance packaging efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to coordinate packaging schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including production reports, material usage, and compliance documentation.

Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in packaging, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Experience in the cannabis industry or with CPG products is highly preferred.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of packaging processes, materials, and regulatory requirements specific to the cannabis industry.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with packaging machinery and technology, as well as proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Education and/or Experience
- High or GED required
- Requires 1 year of related experience
- Experience in working in the cannabis industry, or alternatively, in a highly regulated CPG/F&B industry
Required:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
- Flexible availability for work hours.
- Willingness to work weekends.
