POSITION PURPOSE: The IT Support Specialist is to maintain an organization's computer systems and networks, ensuring smooth business operations and minimizing downtime. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating technology issues, providing technical support to both internal clients (employees) and external customers, and ensuring that the IT infrastructure runs efficiently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, BASIC DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Provision and manage servers within a virtualized environment.
- Manage system backups and storage of backups.
- Track and maintain all documentation of hardware failure, installation, repair, and replacement and other documentation as needed.
- Set up and maintain user accounts.
- Provide technical support in a timely manner across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Perform periodic maintenance.
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
- Assist in updating the system as needed.
- Maintain security protocols for IT systems.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends to ensure system efficiency, and test new technology to recommend possible upgrades and changes to existing systems.
- Train employees in the use of IT related applications.
- Participate in management meetings as necessary and required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. - visa sponsorship not provided.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associate degree in Information Technologies or Computer Information Systems; bachelor’s degree preferred plus 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
