As they continue to expand, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their close-knit office.
The Property Accountant will manage the financial operations for a portfolio of properties. This role is responsible for handling all accounting tasks related to property management, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Working in a smaller office environment, the accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health and supporting its continued growth.
\n- Oversee all accounting functions for a portfolio of properties, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes, including tenant billing, rent collections, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper general ledger coding.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with property managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor tenant lease agreements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with property tax filings, insurance, and audit processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in property accounting, real estate, or property management accounting.
- Strong understanding of property management accounting software RealPage software is a must
