POSITION DETAILS

The Ghostwriter team is searching for a fun and motivated Server/Bartender. The ideal Server/Bartender has a genuine desire to serve guests and provide a memorable experience that brings them back. This individual desires to be part of a fun, motivated and supportive team. The ideal candidate will be helpful, generous and knowledgeable about Ghostwriter food and drinks. The Server/Bartender must have the ability to multitask and prioritize expectations. The Server/Bartender will work by the Ghostwriters Values, understanding that a company’s culture is precious and not only leads by example, but inspires others to do the same.

Server Responsibilities:

· Ensure every guest has an extraordinary experience through a team of empowered high performers who achieve high standards

· Greet every guest in an enthusiastic and timely manner

· Actively participate in ongoing training and team building exercises

· Recognize returning guests and remember their names and preferences

· Exhibit teamwork by providing assistance to FOH co-workers which includes but is not limited to food running and bussing of tables

· Guiding guests through the menu and demonstrating thorough knowledge of food and beverages

· Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines, including serving guests responsibly

· Creates and contributes to a high energy environment that promotes positivity and enjoyment for both guests and co-workers

· Ensure that our guests never have to ask for anything

Bartender Responsibilities:

· Knowledge and consistent execution of creating classic cocktails and offering a great guest experience

· Understanding and knowledge of all spirits offered, especially bourbons

· Converse with guests that sit at the bar or guests that place orders at the counter with enthusiastic energy and a professional approach

· Guide guests through the menu and demonstrate knowledge of food and drink offerings

· Recognize returning guests and remember their names and drink preferences

· Actively participate in ongoing training and team building exercises to enhance

· Exhibit teamwork by aiding the cooks and floats when needed

· Help with bussing, clearing tables, washing dishes, restroom checks and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is meeting and or exceeding set expectations

· Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines, including serving guests

· Stocking the bar with the appropriate alcohol, syrups, mixers, ice and garnish prior to and after service as needed

· Prepping, opening and closing the bar prior to and after a shift is over

· Maintaining a clean bar which will include weekly cooler clean outs, drain cleaning, and additional cleaning tasks based on the expectations set

Qualifications

• Experience serving in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of spirits and cocktail preparation
• Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha and Micros
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and collaborate with team members
• Familiarity with food safety standards and handling practices
• Previous experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.70 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
