This role is responsible for the development of cross-channel creative concepts and integrated campaigns that support the vision, purpose, and promise of the Giant Food brand and marketing strategies. As a Designer, this individual will be expected to uphold and execute against the established brand standards including creative style elements such as colors, typography, photography, videography, tone of voice and more. They should possess a robust creative energy that will bring fresh, forward-thinking content across all creative and video projects.
This role requires a highly detailed-oriented, creative thinker who thrives in a team environment with minimal supervision and have a self-motivated drive for success. Our designers must develop visual imagery that inspires our customers through a deep understanding of the strategic initiatives involving research, insights, competitive context and customer understanding. The Design team works is a fast-paced environment, creating engaging and interactive content by combining various media elements like graphics, text, audio, and video, for various platforms including social media, video boards, print, and advertisements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring brand standards and guidelines for creative projects is consistently met
- Effectively present & gain alignment on campaign creative direction to Marketing Department and peers
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Translate strategic briefs into creative concepts and integrated campaigns across a variety of channels as outlined/requested
- Responsible for ensuring that promotional material is relevant to the customer and drives desired shopper behaviors based on strategic brief and channel objectives
- Be the Project Creative Lead of commercial calendar campaigns in collaboration with the Brand Management team
- Demonstrate inspirational leadership to evoke creative-thinking and innovation from peers
- Collaborate with Copywriter(s) for support on all material to maintain accurate tone of voice, language and personality
- Collaborate on project tasks, deliverables, and proofs through the production management system (Workfront) and collaborate with the Traffic team to ensure project timelines, deliverables, proofs and release dates are met.
- Work closely with other creatives, photographers and cross-functional leaders to execute best-in-class designs
- Recommend change that improves business performance and creativity while maintaining brand guidelines.
- Able to identify and pro-actively mitigate any concerns that may compromise the integrity of a program or design.
- Collaborate and understand channel usage for optimized design development across platforms including print, digital, social, online, media, outdoor, email, web and more
- Assist agencies and production artists on lighting, cameras, art direction, talent, aesthetics and more as needed
- Ability to leverage owned and sources images or video content to optimize creative
- Leverage knowledge of video programs for animation, video, and editing of compelling digital advertisements
- Stays up to date with the latest technology and design trends for creative execution and conceptualization of artwork inclusive of AI advancements and other leading industry tools in market
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy and execution of all design elements including messaging, disclaimers, dates, image placement and resolution
- Accurately and efficiently apply proof feedback and updates from business partners.
- Works independently with high-level of initiative
Requirements:
- 3 years of professional graphic design experience including digital
- Bachelor’s degree in in Art, Graphic Design, Advertising or a related field.
- Creative Examples Required. Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and more
- Advanced understanding of design principles and current trends.
- Proficient with email design, animation and video editing
- Experience designing campaign tactics across multiple mediums.
- Experience providing creative direction as well as receiving direction and implementing feedback to make work stronger
- Experience working with production teams for on-site shoots or collaborating with those who do.
- Proficient usage of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong time-management skills and ability prioritize daily tasks with efficiency
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with key business partners in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage/direct internal teams and external agency partners.
- Proactive approach to problem solving with strong creative thinking, organizational skills, and hyper attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to deliver presentations in a clear & concise manner
- Ability to multitask, adapt and re-prioritize while thinking creatively under tight deadlines
- Detail oriented approach to daily tasks and projects.
- AI design experience is a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
