Position Summary :
The Structural Engineer plans, designs, stamps and oversees multiple structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess an active and current understanding of building codes, modern engineering and construction practices, and analysis software. By analyzing test / site reports, maps, drawings and specifications, the Senior Structural Engineer will evaluate project feasibility and conduct detailed analyses of available data. This role involves applying advanced engineering knowledge and mathematical techniques to the systems and products manufactured by Prospiant. Projects may include, but are not limited to, aluminum and steel greenhouse structures, accessory and equipment supports, anchor design and foundation and slab design.
The Senior Structural Engineer, as the subject matter expert, will also train and mentor junior engineers on modern, forward-thinking engineering concepts and techniques. Additional activities of the engineering department are to design, process, develop, improve and test components, products, systems and services.
