3rd Shift Shipping Clerk

POSITION: Shipping Specialist – 3rd Shift (10:30pm-07:00am Sunday thru Thursday)

REPORTS TO: Shipping Director​​ STATUS: Nonexempt

FUNCTION:

Work overnight to support the shipping operation as well as provide paperwork assistance, reduce mistakes and overages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Input shipment information. * Input production numbers and information. * Supervise shipping operations overnight and answer questions from loaders – make judgement calls without management input. * Communicate with drivers and trucking company – handle driver no-shows, make sure loads are picked up on time. * Answer phones and communicate in a professional manner. * Input paper received. * Pull cards for production as paper arrives. * Communicate with other shifts, management, and production with concerns or unresolved issues from the night. * Print delivery tickets – when this comes online. * Maintain an understanding of complete operation from customer service to production and to shipping – some light CSR duties. * Requires self-motivation and self-accountability. * Requires repetitive motion. * Requires prolonged sitting and computer use. * All other duties as directed by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent * Shipping and receiving experience * Excellent communication skills * Proficient computer skills * Detail oriented and organizational skills * Good attendance rating * Self-starter and must be highly organized * Map reading

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.70 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overnight shift

Experience:

• Computer literacy: 1 year (Required)
