KENT® Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a 2nd Shift - Shipping Supervisor. This position requires the ability to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution services in the coordination with the Shipping Manager. The candidate must have basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn the company specific shipping computer programs to complete shipments leaving our facility. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime. This position will lead the second shift during peak season.
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Columbus, MS.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Following all safety guidelines directs the loading and unloading for all shipments and moves product to storage locations.
- Oversee the storage of all products, materials and the merchandise in the appropriate area.
- Oversee stock rotation procedures.
- Direct personnel on timely shipping
- Direct and insure that all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Oversee that all employees performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer standards.
- Interface with inventory control personnel.
- Supervise shipping, UPS and warehouse staff
- Interface effectively with customer service and logistic personal to coordinate orders.
- Must direct and follow all safety practices set forth by OSHA,
- Must direct and follow HACCP Food Defense plan.
- Must direct and follow all Good Manufacture Practice as set in Sqwincher GMP plan.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a degree in Business Management or Logistics.
