Compensation:
$60,000 yearly based on experience.
Responsibilities:- Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing complex litigation cases, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research using various databases and online resources to support case preparation
- Document Preparation: Draft and format legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Discovery: Assist in the discovery process by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing documents and deposition transcripts
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, witnesses, courts, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively
- Court Filings: File legal documents with courts and agencies and ensure compliance with local rules
- Trial Support: Provide support during trials, including preparing trial exhibits and assisting with courtroom logistics
- Organizational skills, focus, and a strong work ethic are the most important qualifications for this position
- Paralegal certification by an ABA-approved program is a plus
- Must have 2-3 years civil litigation of experience, preferably in commercial/business litigation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
