Commercial Project Manager
Job Summary
Gibson Plumbing Company, established in 1954, is a full-service residential and multifamily plumbing company serving San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and surrounding areas providing quality plumbing services.
As a project manager you will works closely with the Project Superintendent, General contractor Superintendent, General contractor Project management, main office staff, vendors, subcontractors, design and the Field Project Manager.
Primary Duties
- Ensure strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Preparation of subcontracts, RFIs, Change orders, scope of work, and financial reports.
- Track project expenses and minimize exposure and risk in the project
- Ensure project documentation and reports are complete
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others
- Serve as the key link between the General Contractor, our subcontractors, and our office. Build quality relationships with our partners.
- Prepares revenue projections based on project timing and milestone billings. Evaluate progress against projections.
- Monitors project performance against budgeted cost.
- Maintains accuracy in estimated cost to complete.
- Capturing and communicating potential discrepancies between operational activities and the estimating department.
- Track personnel onboarding and offboarding project and ensure costs are tracked appropriately.
- Produce monthly reports for management purposes.
- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
- Lead the team in project planning and execution.
- Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Weekly job site visits to assess project and team needs.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of experience managing projects in the Commercial / Multifamily space is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree is required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
- Project Management Certification is a plus
- Texas State Plumbing license is a plus but not required
