Duties

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in engaging in community activities and social events.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Certification in CPR and on the Health Care Worker Registry as a DSP or CNA.
- Experience in home health or caregiving settings is highly valued.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques to support clients with cognitive impairments.
- Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to individual dietary needs.
