Job Title: Per Diem/PRN Nurse RN Oncology
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem/PRN nurse RN Oncology to join our team at Gifted Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the oncology department, with a focus on hematology and pediatrics.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions between departments.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, taking into account patients' medical histories and current conditions.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, responding promptly to changes or concerns that may arise during treatment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology pediatric nursing, with a strong understanding of related principles and best practices.
- Active RN license, with current certifications in AHA BLS, PALS, and APHON.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, respiratory care, and renal/genitourinary management.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and other relevant software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care.
