Job Summary: The Data Center Technical Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting data center equipment and networks, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. This role involves installing, configuring, and supporting hardware and software systems within the data center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure servers, network devices, and related hardware to meet organizational requirements.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance, identify issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly to minimize downtime.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard data center assets and sensitive information.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and other departments to support and implement new technologies or system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data center operations, technical support, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, server hardware, and data center best practices.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
