Job Description
HERB and VEGETABLE FARM in EASTON, CT is looking for people to fill several positions in our Greenhouses. Perform duties such as filling wholesale orders, moving plants, watering, harvesting greens, packaging cut greens, and other greenhouse duties as needed.
Candidates must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. with ease, to stand and walk for long periods of time, and to bend, twist, and move without restriction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow instructions from General Manager and/or Team Leader.
- Identify different plants as per order list.
- Pick best quality plants.
- Weed, label, and water plants.
- Transport plants within greenhouse, and/or from one greenhouse to a packing room or to another greenhouse, or to loading dock
- Prepare plants for shipping.
- Harvest greens.
- Package cut greens.
- Load and unload shipping racks on loading dock and in and out of delivery vehicles.
- Water plants.
- Do other farm tasks as directed.
SKILLS
- Ability to take verbal instructions
- Ability to work on a team
- Physical ability to safely perform the activities described
- Ability to visually inspect plant material for weeds, pests, or disease.
This is a FULL-TIME POSITION. Some positions are full-time year-round; others are full-time seasonal.

7:00 am - 4:00 pm but with longer hours, as needed, during busy season of March thru June
