Director of Finance

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join our team. Master's Degree in Education, business, management, accounting, finance, or related field. Minimum of five years experience in one of the above fields to include three years in administrative or supervisory capacity. In lieu of these requirements, a combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to these requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to read, interpret and enforce Florida Statutes, State Board Rules and School Board Policy.
- Demonstrate administrative and technical expertise in multiple areas including budget, finance, accounting, auditing, investments, and payroll.
- Ability to use effective public relations skills
- Effective communicator that can plan and present information to the public
- Ability to analyze and accurately project FTE for the District.
- Ability to prepare and administer the District budget.
- Effective communicator that can plan and present information to the public
- Knowledge of group dynamics, skills in census building, strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to effective use PC/Mainframe software and hardware, Microsoft Office Suite, and Skyward.
- Experience in management of departmental staff.

Must be able to pass a reference check, drug test, and Level II Criminal history check using fingerprinting by the District's approved vendor.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $83,000.00 - $103,313.00 per year
