Merchandiser

The opportunity The Merchandiser assists in the management of both Retail and Printwear Activewear products across Gildan, Comfort Colors, Alstyle, American Apparel, and private label brands. This position works cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Design, and Account Representatives to create new products from concept to product launch, customer presentations, and make improvements to existing processes throughout the development cycle. The Merchandiser position sits in the Product Department, reporting directly to the Manager, Merchandising. The role Line plan management; this involves ensuring forecast accuracy, costing accuracy and clarity of competitors to benchmark price targets. Initiate POS reviews with the Design and Merchandising Manager to recommend new styles and updates to existing styles as needed. Lead the robust management of samples for the brand to include comp samples, tradeshows, photoshoots, testing, pre-lines, sales reps, sample lines, and others as required. Ensure a best-in-class appearance on Gildan Brands in-house site, and distributor sites, collaborating with the Brand team on verbiage and proofing copy on both our internal sites and other websites, where Gildan products are sold. Support the Manager/Director/VP in the preparation for key meetings, customer visits, etc. The requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Supply Chain or a related discipline. At least two-four (2-4) years' experience in an Apparel, Product or Marketing environment or a similar field. Knowledge of retail math is required. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook are required. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Results oriented. Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
