Operator, Baler (7AM-7PM)

The opportunity: Responsible for gathering, crushing, and bundling scrap cardboard daily. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team. Must be able to follow instructions in the operation of the Baler machine. Must be able to manually lift at least 2 large pieces of cardboard, fold together and place it in the baler. Must be able to manage large quantities of shrink wrap at a time and place it in the baler. Once cardboard/shrink wrap is crushed, must be able to bundle copious quantities together and store for pickup by the recycle vendor. Performs other duties as requested by management. The requirements High School diploma or equivalent required 6 months distribution experience Good communication skills both written and verbal. Good hand – eye coordination Must be certified as a Baler Operator Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities. Ability to work 12 Hour Days 7AM-7PM Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime. Medium lifting – 50-lbs maximum, frequent carrying of objects 25 lbs.+, walking or standing 50 % or more. Ability to reason and make judgements and understand instruction and principles. Use words and their meanings effectively. Comprehend language, present information or ideas clearly. Hearing is required to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings. Vision is required to read instructions and operate Baler correctly.
