Operator, Baler

The opportunity Responsible for gathering, crushing, and bundling scrap cardboard daily. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team. • Must be able to follow instructions in the operation of the Baler machine. • Must be able to manually lift at least 2 large pieces of cardboard, fold together and place it in the baler. • Must be able to manage large quantities of shrink wrap at a time and place it in the baler. • Once cardboard/shrink wrap is crushed, must be able to bundle copious quantities together and store for pickup by the recycle vendor. • Performs other duties as requested by management. The requirements • High School diploma or equivalent required • 6 months distribution experience • Good communication skills both written and verbal. • Good hand – eye coordination • Must be certified as a Baler Operator • Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities. • Ability to work 12 Hour Days 7AM-7PM • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime. • Medium lifting – 50-lbs maximum, frequent carrying of objects 25 lbs.+, walking or standing 50 % or more. • Ability to reason and make judgements and understand instruction and principles. • Use words and their meanings effectively. Comprehend language, present information or ideas clearly. • Hearing is required to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings. • Vision is required to read instructions and operate Baler correctly.
