Sheetmetal Shop Foreman

Job Overview 
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shop Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. As the Shop Sheet Metal Foreman, you will oversee daily operations in the sheet metal shop, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Role and Responsibilities

·       Team Leadership and Management:

·       Lead and manage a team of sheet metal workers, providing guidance and support

·       Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion

·       Project Planning and Coordination:

·       Review project specifications, blueprints, and work orders to determine the sequence and methods of fabricating assembling, and installing sheet metal products

·       Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution

·       Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and financial goals

·       Safety and Compliance:

·       Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment

·       Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe work environment

·       Maintain a clean and organized shop, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order

·       Training and Development:

·       Train and guide team members in sheet metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair tasks associated with equipment.

·       Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration

·       Estimating and Inventory Management:

·       Estimate time and material costs for project tasks

·       Order and maintain inventory of sheet metal supplies

·       Quality Control Standards:

·       Implement and maintain Quality Control standards

·       Inspect work to ensure it conforms to specifications and work schedules

·       Additional Responsibilities:

·       Perform other duties as assigned

·       Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and a can-do attitude

·       Experience in the operation and programming of automated equipment

·       Managing an Automated Shop

·       Coordinating deliveries

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, Proven track record of successfully managing and completing sheet metal projects, Strong leadership and team management skills, Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities is required.
