Gillette Children's is hiring a full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hrs/wk) Computer Technician-Therapy Aide. Schedule is Monday - Friday, hours ranging between 7:30am to 5:30pm at the main St. Paul campus location. This role is focused on supporting our physical therapists and engineers within our Gait & Motion Analysis Lab.
Provides support to the physical therapist during gait analysis by assisting with patient testing, diversion, transfers, positioning, etc., and to clean and organize department regularly to maintain infection control and safety. This position also includes the collecting and processing of motion capture data as well as minimal secretarial support of the Center for Gait & Motion Analysis staff.

Core Responsibilities And Duties
- Provides therapy assistance to patients in the motion analysis lab.
- Provides customer service to all customers including patients, patients’ families, physicians, physical therapists, co-workers and all others on a daily basis.
- Serves as a computer technician as it relates to the lab data.
- Provides various office duties to ensure day-to-day needs are met.
- Ensures Data Entry is complete and accurate for various documents.
- Involved in ongoing motion lab quality assurance data collection.
- Participates in activities that promote professional growth, ease of access, quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
Required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Current CPR certification required, or must obtain certification within 90-days of hire
- Experience as Physical Therapy Aide
- Experience working with children
- Familiarity of gait and gait patterns
- Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks at once
- Ability to manage a variety of interruptions and/or requests from public and/or hospital staff
- Professional attitude to deal effectively and politely with public and hospital staff
- Willingness and capability to acquire new skills as needs arise
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates initiative in seeking additional projects to assist in.
