Our present-day business is organized and operated on a cooperative basis, supplying merchandise and service to patrons and marketing milk for area farmers. Responsibilities:
- Collecting and consolidating financial data
- Preparing and analyzing financial statments and forecasts both monthly and yearly
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payment to vendors
- Conduct audits to identify discrepencies and resolve issues
- Provide technical support and quidance to the team
- Utilize our accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements, including compliance with regulations and reporting
- Reconciling and balancing company checkbook
- Process Milk payables and payroll
- Prepare monthly financial reports
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is desired but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with private equity accounting is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
