Job Summary:
Gina’s DayCare Learning Academy LLC is seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child care, leadership, and compliance with Missouri DESE regulations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage both front-end and back-end operations, and a commitment to providing high-quality early education and care.
Responsibilities:
Program Oversight & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with Missouri DESE regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and oversee reporting to regulatory agencies.
- Implement and uphold policies and procedures that align with state and local childcare regulations.
Operations & Administration:
- Oversee daily operations, including staffing, enrollment, and classroom management.
- Manage Brightwheel software to ensure accurate and up-to-date child records, attendance, and parent communication.
- Conduct family intakes, tours, and orientations, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Handle employee onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Develop and maintain operational budgets, financial planning, and tuition collection.
Leadership & Staff Management:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and staff to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and foster professional growth.
- Maintain open communication with teachers and support staff to ensure quality education and care.
- Curriculum & Program Development:
- Ensure the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Work closely with teachers to enhance lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Monitor and assess child development milestones and adjust programming as needed.
Family & Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with families, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Plan and host community events, parent workshops, and school functions to promote family engagement.
- Serve as the face of the center, marketing and promoting the daycare to attract and retain families.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Required).
- 3-5 years of experience in child care or early childhood education (Required).
- 2 years in a leadership or management role in a childcare setting (Required).
- Strong knowledge of Missouri DESE child care licensing regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience using Brightwheel or similar child care management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen to oversee budgets, tuition collection, and payroll.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
