We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Garden Associate to join our team. As a Garden Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting customers with their gardening needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring our garden center is well-stocked and visually appealing.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and related products by providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Maintain the garden center's appearance by organizing stock, watering plants, and ensuring displays are attractive.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and processing e-commerce orders.
- Educate customers on proper lawn care techniques and plant care to promote healthy growth.
- Support sales initiatives by promoting seasonal products and special offers to enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels effectively and ensure stock is replenished as needed.
- Provide assistance in floral design tasks when required, creating beautiful arrangements for customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries or concerns regarding products or services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and retail math is a plus.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices and plant care techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
