A Day in the Life as a Technical Support Specialist
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will will provide daily phone support by communicating and directing end users and / or distributor technicians to a safe and sequential diagnosis of required repairs relative to field service and product installation issues. This is also a hands-on type of position where you will routinely repair various types of commercial laundry equipment. Responsibilities include :
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing manufacturer level technical service issues for customers and distributor service personnel relating to product installation and service questions.
- Assisting in-house and external salespeople and consumers regarding issues related to product installation and operating requirements.
- Performing service training assistance as required both in house and at distributor locations.
- When qualified, traveling to customer location to perform maintenance and / or training.
- Assisting in creation and development of product improvement / technical support projects, service-related videos, and technical bulletins.
- Testing, troubleshooting, repairing, converting, and rebuilding Girbau branded products, as needed.
- Assisting with basic building maintenance.
