Stone Creek Coffee is looking to add a Wholesale Account Manager to our Customer Care Team! The Wholesale Account Manager (WAM) role exists to develop mutually beneficial relationships around coffee and business with existing and potential partners of Stone Creek Coffee. This particular role requires high intentionality in pursuit of building and providing remarkable care, as well as a robust understanding of the particular industries SCC operates within for the purpose of building lasting contacts and partnerships therein. This role will report to our Director of Customer Care, and will be partnering on remarkable care initiatives, understanding trends within the coffee industry, and delivering strategies to act within the best interest of our partners while driving year-over-year growth in the portfolio’s financial performance.

Role Aspects

  • NETWORK & LEAD DEVELOPMENT – The relationships we have with our partners, friends, and families often lead to new opportunities for partnerships and sales. The WAM must be active in developing their network in order to generate these opportunities and connections to create additional business. The WAM must have a keen eye for identifying these opportunities and leveraging them with the development team.
  • TRAFFIC – The WAM will prioritize incoming calls and inquiries, ensuring all partners receive a response within three hours, as is our process guidelines. This approach enables the timely sharing of relevant information with the right parties and ensures inquiries are directed to the appropriate team member for follow-up. Attention to detail is crucial to prevent any issues from being overlooked. Additionally, the WAM will actively support the Customer Care Coordinator and contribute to the development of improved processes that enhance clarity and communication, always with the customer’s needs in mind.
  • REMARKABLE CARE DEVELOPMENT – The WAM should have a deep understanding of how Stone Creek Coffee impacts its partners. The touch-points between businesses create opportunities for SCC to differentiate itself from its competitors. A WAM will seek to identify and / or create these touch points and make them memorable for the partner. These include but are not limited to site visits, classes, free product drops, hosting events, and the like.
  • SETUP AND SUPPORT – As a member of the Customer Care team the WAM is the point of ultimate responsibility for the care of existing wholesale partners within their designated segments. The WAM is responsible for ensuring all the details of the partnership agreement are carried out in order to set up the partner with the tools necessary to ensure their success.
  • COFFEE GEEK – Selling coffee is what we do, but at our core, we are coffee geeks. Everybody at Stone Creek should have a passion for coffee and want to explore it deeper. We believe a contagious passion for coffee fosters a culture of excellence and continuous learning. As the WAM cares for our partners and represents SCC to potential partners they must communicate passion and accessibility in regard to coffee and partner support.

Requirements :

  • Passion for coffee and desire to never stop learning
  • Account Management and / or Customer Care experience (1-2 years)
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Comfort working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while juggling several competing priorities
  • Able to anticipate partner needs and align them with appropriate products and service solutions to hit or exceed financial goals as established
  • Reliable Transportation - travel required (Approx 40% of work week, mostly in the Milwaukee and Madison area).
  • Preferred :

  • Professional experience in the food / beverage industry
  • Business to Business sales experience
  • Compensation Structure :

    The Account Manager is a full time salaried position eligible for the Stone Creek Coffee benefit package which includes :

  • We offer an annual salary beginning between $47,000 - $50,000; starting pay will be based on qualifications and experience.

    You will be invited to compensation discussions as a part of our performance review cycle which occurs three times annually, all compensation increase conversations are based on demonstrated value added to the team.
