Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as press brake machines, welding machines, plasma cutters, and hand tools.
- Oversee the fabrication of sheet metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Manage machining processes, including pipe threading and other related tasks.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for safety, equipment operation, and fabrication techniques.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper maintenance of tools and machinery.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute construction site requirements effectively.
- Troubleshoot any production issues that arise, implementing solutions promptly to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines, welding equipment, plasma cutting tools, and other hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and machining techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a shop or construction site setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
