Job Summary
GFA is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team. The Tool Maker will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing tools used in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design tooling using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Operate stamping presses and other machinery to create tool components
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy
- Perform welding and machining tasks as needed
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize tool designs
- Utilize electrical discharge machining for intricate tool components
Skills
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for tool design
- Experience with stamping press operations and tooling
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and machining techniques
- Ability to perform welding tasks for tool fabrication
- Experience with electrical discharge machining is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
