What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Data Analyst position at Girl Scouts Heart of Pennsylvania?
The Membership Data Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for driving innovation regarding the utilization of business systems, data management, and data analysis in support of the organization's membership goals and initiatives. The Membership Data Manager must be located with GSHPA's 30-county footprint in Pennsylvania, as this is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a data-first perspective designed to leverage data to drive competitive advantages in membership sales and marketing.
- Develop and maintain a data quality approach to ensure reliable and actionable data by setting standards for data quality, identifying data issues, and resolving.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate data on all aspects of membership trends and business process optimization within the organization and industry.
- Ensure accurate membership reporting and dashboards to update staff and leadership on membership data and trends to drive growth.
- Stay up to date on Girl Scouts of the USA, other Girl Scout councils, and other membership-based organizations for best practices and new trends.
- Develop predictive workflow metrics for the membership department to set benchmarks, prioritize efforts, forecast expected results, and continuously improve outcomes.
- Utilize a cloud-based digital marketing platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) to create and manage personalized customer journeys across multiple channels, such as email and SMS, in support of the organization's membership campaigns and growth strategy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the business intelligence tool, Looker, to help staff access, analyze, and visualize business data.
- Participate in collaborative planning and execution with the Directors of Membership and Marketing & Communications on strategy, timelines, and deliverables for all major membership recruitment and retention campaigns, providing subject matter expertise on reporting, analytics, best practices for utilization of council business systems, and evaluation of new technologies and services.
- Track and evaluate lead generating activities (flyers, posters, web ads, social posts, etc.) to determine success rates for lead generation and conversion.
- Provide professional, quality, customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Provide reports and data from Salesforce and Looker to other departments as needed.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Girl Scout mission by representing GSHPA in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of council-wide initiatives and / or cross functional teams to further the mission of GSHPA.
