Girl Scouts Louisiana East is seeking Community Program Presenters to bring Girl Scout meetings and activities to youth centers, schools, and community sites across our region.
This is a great fit for students studying education, social work, psychology, or any youth-focused field, teachers, realtors, and retirees who want to give back to the community and empower young girls!
Work Areas and Schedules Available:
- Region 1: Youth centers, schools, and community sites in the Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. Work schedule: Monday & Wednesday from 12:00-4:00 PM; Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00-2:00 PM; Fridays as needed.
- Region 4: Youth centers, schools, and community sites in the Greater New Orleans and surrounding areas: Monday through Thursday from 10:00-2:00 PM; Fridays as needed.
What Youll Do:
- Lead Girl Scout programs for K12 girls in various locations like schools, churches, and after-school sites
- Facilitate hands-on activities that build confidence, leadership, and life skills
- Represent Girl Scouts in the community and create welcoming, inclusive spaces for all participants
- Coordinate setup, attendance, and materials for sessions
- Assist supervisor in preparation of presentations, information gathering and reporting
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required (some college or Associates degree preferred)
- At least one (1) year of experience working with youth (camp, tutoring, after-school programs, etc.) or the public
- Basic level of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Friendly, confident communicators, ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups.
What You'll Bring:
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Valid drivers license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation to assigned locations
- Membership in Girl Scouts (at hire)
