Description
PURPOSE:
To plan food service for the summer camp season and supervise the kitchen staff.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Camp Director
CAMP:
Na Wa Kwa & Sycamore Valley
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- To work with the summer camp kitchen supervisor to ensure that all food has been ordered and there is enough inventory to supply the kitchen’s needs.
- Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers and coordinate kitchen staff schedules.
- Train summer staff on Kitchen safety procedures and general rules of kitchen/dining hall.
- Responsible for inventory of food and kitchen supplies .
- Responsible for keeping an accurate budget of summer food costs.
- Function in conjunction with camping programs and communicate with administrative staff as necessary.
- These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned, and other duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Experience in mass food cooking and serving
- Possess supervisory skills
- Ability to relate well and communicate with others
- Desire and ability to work in camp setting
Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
