Description
As an Inclusion Intern, you will work directly with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion staff who support the Council’s Engagement and Belonging initiatives. This internship will be approximately 10-20 hours per week and is eligible for college credit, if applicable. Interns are paid minimum wage (currently $13.75) per hour worked.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate support services and accommodations for members with disabilities.
- Review disability accommodation requests and work in collaboration with various departments to respond to requests.
- Serve as a disability, inclusion, and accessibility Subject Matter Expert by developing and maintaining a working knowledge of best practices.
- Build volunteer and staff understanding and adoption of disability inclusion through the creation and delivery of training programs.

Work Location
This position is a hybrid position that will require some days in the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri office and occasional remote work.

Qualifications
Interns must be enrolled in a graduate, bachelor's or associate's degree program and have completed at least one (1) semester of college. Interns must be pursuing a degree relevant to the role. Interns may or may not receive academic credit for the internship. If an intern seeks academic credit for the internship, it is up to the intern to establish this through their educational institution.
Internships are temporary assignments offered for up to a maximum of four (4) semester periods. Intern work scheduled may vary depending upon course credit requirements, intern scheduling preferences, needs for time off, etc. Interns may work up to twenty (20) hours per week during the school year and up to thirty (30) hours per week during the summer.
