About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Challenge Course Supervisor to join our team at Camp Lakota. As a key member of our summer camp staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful delivery of challenge course programs for our campers.
Job Summary
The Challenge Course Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating schedules, evaluating camper abilities, and delivering progressive adventure program activities. They will also train and supervise challenge course specialists, manage physical facilities and equipment, and participate in evening programs and special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise a safe, innovative, and fun adventure program.
- Train and supervise challenge course specialists, including planning and implementing staff training.
- Manage the physical facilities and equipment in the adventure program area, including setting up challenge course areas and teaching proper use of equipment.
- Participate as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and functions.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 21 years of age.
- Current certification in challenge course operation or documented experience and training.
- Experience in high adventure programming in an overnight camp setting.
- The ability to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR prior to the first day of work.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
