Job Overview
The Camp Lakota Challenge Course Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our adventure programs. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating engaging and safe experiences for our campers.
Responsibilities:
- Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement safe and effective adventure programs that meet the needs of our campers. Collaborate with challenge course specialists to ensure seamless delivery of programs.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train challenge course specialists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality programs. Provide regular feedback and coaching to help staff improve their performance.
- Facility Maintenance and Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our adventure program facilities and equipment. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work closely with other members of the camp staff to ensure that all programs and activities run smoothly. Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and parents to ensure everyone has a positive experience.
Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older
- Current certification in challenge course operation or documented experience and training
- Experience in high adventure programming in an overnight camp setting
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification prior to first day of work
- Commitment to work entire camp season and attend pre-camp trainings
- Physical endurance to traverse several miles daily on uneven terrain at high elevation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds periodically
