Position Summary: The Recruitment Coordinator (Outside Sales) is results-driven and responsible for generating interest in Girl Scouting resulting in new girl and adult members across all GSNEO geographic areas. As a member of the recruitment team, the Coordinator will work in collaboration with staff and volunteers to plan and schedule recruitment activities, generate excitement about Girl Scouting, and execute sales strategies to positively impact membership growth in the assigned areas.
Major Accountabilities:
1. Plan, schedule, and lead recruitment events (virtually and in-person) in collaboration with Marketing, Community Membership Executives, volunteers, and cross-functional teams.
2. Coordinates recruitment strategies to implement campaigns and lead generation tactics by achieving individual conversion goals and membership goals across all GSNEO geographic areas.
3. Research and cultivate opportunities to engage community organizations, agencies and leaders, educators, and faith-based institutions to increase awareness and participation.
4. Communicate and emphasize value to potential members and community organizations through various forms of marketing and communication, including public speaking. In partnership with Marketing and Communications team members, ensure consistent branding, messaging and campaign tactics are used in all customer interactions.
5. Support PR coordinators (volunteer recruiters) through regular engagement; training and ongoing support, timely and relevant communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and recognition.
6. Maintain accurate data to measure progress and contribute to shared team tasks such as status reports, goal setting and tracking, trainings, and new member registrations.
7. Measure and reports on the effectiveness of lead generation activities.
8. Maintain accurate inventory for recruitment marketing materials (giveaways, flyers, yard signs, etc.) and request inventory re-orders based on campaigns and budget goals.
9. Assist with fulfillment process to ensure staff and volunteers receive branded marketing resources to distribute locally.
10. Assist with lead nurturing and follow up, as needed.
11. This position requires travel throughout the council and non-traditional work hours, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- College degree in marketing, communications, business, or a combination of work-related experience of 2 – 4 years in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours to manage workflow and meet goals

- Computer literacy and technical knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Need to know or be able to learn to use GSUSA’s Salesforce CRM, Looker, and other programs. Need to know how to use mobile apps and social media (Facebook).
