Job Summary
We are looking for a Shop Assistant - Sales and Support to join our team at the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records, balancing cash drawers, and processing cash receipts within council policy guidelines. Additionally, you will assist with inventory controls, physical inventory, and stock management, ensuring shelves are attractively displayed and merchandise is properly priced.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and friendly manner.
- Maintain accurate records, including OpSuite POS and accounting reports.
- Balance cash drawers, process cash receipts, and complete End-of-Day paperwork according to council policy guidelines.
- Assist with inventory controls, physical inventory, and stock management, ensuring shelves are attractively displayed and merchandise is properly priced.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and/or related work experience.
- Prior retail, data entry, and customer service experience.
- Computer literacy and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Problem-solving and project management skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Able to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
