Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Girl Scouts of West Central Florida serves close to 19,500 girls in 8 counties Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, Marion, Citrus, Sumter, & Hernando. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math.,
Girl Scouts of West Central Florida's STEMapalooza 2025 will be on Saturday April 12th at Florida Polytechnic University. This event is an opportunity for girls and families in our community to learn through hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities.
We are seeking volunteers to help us have a great event! Multiple roles and shifts are available.

Volunteer Roles
Friday Event Set Up Table set-up, classroom arrangement, signage, vendor assistance, retail set up. Saturday Event Set-up Assist with table set-up, classroom arrangement, signage, vendor assistance, retail set up, other assistence as needed. Door Greeters Holding doors for participants as they enter and exit, directing to activities and talks. Help with event set-up or tear-down. Room Captains Managing foot traffic at doors & activities. Queuing the line into the program partner rooms. May help with guiding girls through STEM activities as needed.
