High Awards Specialist (Temp - January 2nd - September 30, 2025)
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The High Award Program Specialist (Temporary) provides critical administrative, volunteer, and program support for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida's High Awards initiatives, including the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. This role ensures the smooth operation of key processes, from managing paperwork and communications to supporting training and facilitating High Award projects. The specialist works closely with volunteers, members, and staff to ensure consistency, efficiency, and exceptional member experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administrative Support
- Office Assistance : Maintain and organize Google Drive folders, forms, and spreadsheets related to High Awards.
- Upload incoming paperwork to the drive, notify volunteers and members of receipt, and follow up on outstanding needs.
- Monitor customer case queues and respond to basic inquiries about webinars, workshops, and general High Award processes.
- Send program confirmation emails, post-event surveys, and follow up with participants and volunteers.
- Print and mail certificates to members and coordinate the pickup or transportation of pins and training materials.
- Organize and replenish workshop totes and ensure readiness for upcoming programs.
Volunteer and Committee Support
Connect with volunteer committees to ensure they have updated paperwork and resources.Input data, track outstanding paperwork, and provide consistent updates to the High Award Manager.Support communication with Girl Scout members (youth and adults) regarding webinars, workshops, and High Award processes.Facilitate meetings and trainings for committees and girls, including coordinating materials and logistics.Program Coordination and Facilitation
Assist in reviewing and processing High Award proposals and final reports, ensuring consistency and adherence to guidelines.Coordinate final interviews with Gold Award candidates and their coaches, as well as meetings with Bronze and Silver Award participants.Shadow trainers and assist in delivering online webinars or in-person training sessions.Support volunteer-led programs and committee workshops as needed, providing logistical and operational assistance to ensure successful facilitation.Qualifications and Skills
Experience in administrative support, program coordination, or youth development preferred.Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and familiarity with Salesforce or similar systems is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with youth and adult volunteers.Commitment to delivering a high-quality member experience and promoting the mission of Girl Scouts.Adherence to the work plan and best practices of the council, while raising new ideas and alternative process recommendations to supervisorPersonal commitment to regulatory and council practices, such as Volunteer Essentials, Safety Activity Checkpoints, GSWCF protocols.Contribute to a thriving work environment by demonstrating the GSWCF Guiding Principles.What you devote to the mission

Starting hourly rate : $17.00
