Your Role:
As the summer Day Camp Administrative Assistant, you will assist the Day Camp Director and camp staff to coordinate and manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the 2025 summer day camp program.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to assist in the efficient operation of the summer day camp program.
- Assist in preparing, tracking and managing camp program and staff schedules, logistics, and plans.
- Prepare, collect, organize and maintain camp program and camper documents, files, and information.
- Create, prepare, run and distribute daily and weekly program reports and attendance data.
- Order, organize, inventory and maintain program supplies and equipment, ensuring supplies and materials are available in advance of each weekly camp session.
- Assist in tracking and reconciling program expenses and receipts; prepare and submit expense and expenditure reports.
- Answer and respond to program calls, emails and texts; assist in facilitating communication between campers, parents, and staff to address and resolve issues as they arise.
- Provide backup support and coverage for program activities as requested or needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required to ensure successful day camp program operations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience providing administrative support, preferably in a summer camp/day camp environment, or youth-serving organization.
- Able to commit to and work full-time, onsite, June 5, 2025 - August 11, 2025.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks requiring detail and accuracy simultaneously.
- Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work in a team setting with a diverse staff, volunteers and campers.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone, email, and in person.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and successfully resolve conflict in a professional manner.
- Strong computer skills specifically in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification prior to start of summer day camp.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel for pickup/drop-off of program materials or supplies, offsite program activities or meetings, as needed.
- Must have belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law, and Girl Scouts San Diego mission, vision and values.

This is a full-time temporary seasonal employment opportunity, scheduled to run June 5 - August 11, 2025.
The pay range for this position is $21- $23 per hour, DOE.
Salary : $21 - $23
