Camp Maha Description:
Camp Maha is one of the Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska properties where girls in grades K-8 could participate in outdoor activities, which include, but are not limited to: archery, hiking, swimming, arts, crafts, challenge course and Girl Scout curriculum (including earning badges). Camp Maha is located on the Platte River near Papillion, NE. Many of Camp Maha’s campers ride buses into camp daily from the Omaha metro area.
Role Description:
The Business Manager is responsible for the ordering, buying, inventory, and bookkeeping for Camp Maha summer supplies. They also help implement programs as needed by the camp director. The Business Manager will also assist with cookouts on Friday by ordering food, delivering food to the units, and supporting the Unit Leaders and Counselors during Friday cookouts. The Business Manager will assist with the trading post on Thursday during Family Nights and other times in the week as arranged by the camp director.

· All Camp Staff Training: May 27-30, 2025 (First Aid and CPR training will be provided for those needing certifications).

Pay: $14 per hour, approximately 20 hours a week
Key Accountabilities:
· Coordinate with the Camp Manager and Camp Director to organize, order, store and inventory program supplies and equipment during and after summer camp season.
· Organize the t-shirt and badges that campers receive.
· Oversee the financial management operations by monitoring the budget and completing the credit card reconciliation by due dates.
· Properly code all transactions.
· Maintain accurate records of the trading post inventory and sales. Actively work with Camp Director and Retail Sales to properly run accounts.
· Develop sound relationships with all girl participants, their parents and Council staff to ensure a positive camp experience.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment. Work with property managers to identify and correct maintenance problems promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
· Be a member or be willing to become a member of the Girl Scouts, support the principles of Girl Scouting.
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the retail and sales environment.
· Must have availability Thursday 3-7pm and Friday 8:30-4:30, other hours during the week as assigned.
· Basic math and computer skills.
· Ability to handle stress effectively and know when to seek guidance and support.
· Ability to work and communicate effectively with girls of all age levels, parents, volunteers, staff and diverse communities.
· Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, initiative, and flexibility, including the ability to evaluate and make changes as necessary to ensure a successful camp experience.
· Ability to work independently and exercise time management skills as well as good judgment.
· Willingness to work irregular hours.
· Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Girl Scouts policy. Access to reliable transportation. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.
