LEADERSHIP SUMMARY
The Camp Support Counselor (Daytime) will infuse and model the Girl Scout Law into their everyday work to fulfill the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Camp Support Counselor (Daytime) supports unit leaders and unit counselors in the guidance and supervision of campers ranging from entering 1st grade to 12th grade and supports camp asst. director and director as needed.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Moves between units, as assigned, providing supervision and support
- Leads and participates in songs, games, and other activities
- Ensures campers complete papers
- Completes daily and weekly documentation
- Attends virtual training and day-long in-person training
- Attends staff meetings
- Actively engages with campers and participates in camp activities
- Follows camp rules and policies
- Maintains a positive attitude and professionalism with campers, parents, volunteers, and staff
