Position Overview:
The Lead Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of Girls Inc. programs in Albany, ensuring that activities are delivered efficiently and effectively. This part-time, hourly position requires a passionate, organized, and dynamic individual committed to the empowerment of girls. The Site Lead will supervise program staff and volunteers, manage schedules, and ensure that the programs run smoothly. This role is key to ensuring the success of Girls Inc.'s mission by creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for girls to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:Program Coordination & Implementation:
- Program Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and execute Girls Inc. programs, ensuring they are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Curriculum Management: Ensure that program curricula are implemented effectively, incorporating age-appropriate, engaging activities focused on leadership, confidence-building, academic success, and personal growth.
- Program Scheduling: Develop and maintain program schedules, ensuring that activities run efficiently and according to the needs of participants.
- Safety & Well-being: Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants, adhering to health and safety guidelines and creating an environment that is inclusive and supportive.
Staff Supervision:
- Staff Leadership: Supervise and support program staff and volunteers, providing training, guidance, and feedback to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate the performance of program staff and volunteers, offering coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Program Development & Evaluation:
- Program Development: Work closely with the Senior Program Director to develop and adapt programs and curricula to meet the evolving needs and interests of girls in the community.
- Data Collection & Evaluation: Collect feedback from participants, families, and staff to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of program activities, attendance, and participant progress. Assist with the preparation of internal and external reports as needed.
Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Family Communication: Maintain strong communication with participants’ families, providing updates on program activities and encouraging family involvement.
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Resource Management: Ensure that program materials, supplies, and equipment are available and in good condition.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in monitoring program budgets, ensuring that programs stay within allocated financial resources.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, keeping all necessary documentation up to date.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in youth programming, nonprofit youth development, or education.
- Experience working directly with girls, particularly in community-based or after-school settings.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement youth-centered programs.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of girls, families, staff, and volunteers.
- Leadership skills with experience in supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as program management software or tools.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices for program delivery and evaluation.

Additional Information:
- This is a part-time, hourly position based in Albany, NY.

- Compensation: $18-$22 per hour.
