ALL SPARK ACADEMY TEACHERS:
- Work collaboratively to create an environment that inspires young children to be curious and enhance their love of learning
- Implement routines and activities that engage children and positively impact their overall development
- Honor the individual skills, needs and interests of each child to allow for successful growth through hands-on and play-based learning
- Model positive emotional skills that help children be confident while navigating through everyday social-emotional occurrences and experiences
- Gracefully demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, seamlessly blending warmth and nurturing care even in the midst of bustling activity
- Believe all children have the potential to learn and thrive regardless of economic status
- Believe they are part of a team willing to help each other when needs arise
- Implement STREAMin3 Curriculum along with activities that support the whole child
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children
- Be positive, approachable, and professional in interactions with parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information
- Communicate effectively with families about their childs development
- Respect families beliefs and values
- Willingness to attend professional development opportunities
- Collaborate and work well with teachers, staff, and board members
- Communicate with the Director ensuring all parties; students, caregivers/guardians, teachers have support where needed
- Attend monthly staff meeting
- Be open and flexible to all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director
- Physical ability (able to exert up to 30 pounds of force) and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to fulfill all North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE) requirements to work in a licensed child care program.
- 2 years Early Childhood experience preferred.
- North Carolina Early Childhood Certification (EDU 119) preferred.
