BASIC FUNCTION
- Under general supervision, executes the proper Staging, Handling, Labeling, Transportation , and Storage of all goods within and related to the Givaudan Samples facility. Executes basic inventory management principles with guidance from leadership.
- Executes the following per written procedure:
- Discards - removes obsolete materials from inventory while following guidelines associated with hazardous waste handling.
- cycle counting - as assigned by scanning items and working with the department Lead to resolve inaccuracies.
- Pick for Samples Lab - stages raw materials for production and returns used inventory to warehouse.
- Maintains Obsolescence budget by completing accurate inventory records (weights, proper storage, and correct status).
- Maintains a clean, organized work area by meeting or exceeding General Housekeeping, and Master Sanitation requirements.
- Contributes to the overall safety of the department by following all safety guidelines.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy , reports all errors timely.
- Other tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in warehouse environment managing hazardous and non-hazardous inventory through electronic systems preferred.
- Current driver’s license required to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to be fit tested, trained in use of respirator.
- SAP managed inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance
- Basic math and writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computerized warehouse management system experience preferred
- Familiar with basic warehousing procedures
- Basic understanding of work prioritization
- Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products
- Basic knowledge of hazardous material identification
