Site Coordinator Job Description
This is a morning position ranging from 6:00am to 8:00 am Monday through Friday
Job Summary
It is the general duty of the Site Coordinator to serve as a supervisor and provide program services for students in the Before School Program. The morning should be structured, intentional, and fun. Although we only have students for a short time, we focus on shaping and reinforcing behaviors such as
Sharing Taking turns Respectful language Asking for help Participation in Activities Problem solving Independence Cooperative play Helping others Volunteering Completing homework if needed

Education and Experience
- High School Graduate (must have passed a Proficiency Test with a score of 65% or higher) or possess 48 College Credits.
- Proficiency Test will be scheduled and administered in the main office prior to the initial Onboarding Process.
- Experience and/or training in a closely related employment position preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Licenses and Certificates
- Receive Department of Justice background clearance if 18 and older
- High School Graduate
- Have a clean/negative TB Test
Typical Duties
- Develop in coordination with site staff a monthly calendar that incorporates activities and rooms those activities are in.
- Build a working relationship with school day teachers and work to extend the regular school day in the before school program.
- Promote a safe and positive classroom environment
- Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
- Attend all meetings and training's that the position requires.
- Give guidance and counsel to program/site staff when appropriate and keep all pertaining records.
- Assist with program events as needed.
- Ensures age-appropriate conversation among members and staff; promote good manners and encourage common courtesies among members and staff.
- Responsible for designated group for duration of program or until replacement staff arrives – never leave a group unsupervised.
- Responsible for immediately reporting and documenting any and all injuries or incidents utilizing established GECAC procedures for notification to the program office and parents.
- Establish a student-centered program that considers the needs and interests of all students.
- Support the exploration of interests and the development of skills, mastery, and creativity.
- Support youth leadership development.
- Promote community service, engagement.
- Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in staff and member matters
- Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for youth.
- Maintains cleanliness in all program areas; assist with the setup and breakdown during program day to contribute to ongoing maintenance in an effort to keep the school or community site clean and orderly
- Serve as a positive adult role model for students in the program through appropriate dress, speech, attitude, and courtesy.

Hours and Benefits
- Position is on a part-time basis Monday through Friday, while program is in session. Hours vary according to site, usually between 6:00 am to 8:30 am
- Position is paid on the 12th and 27th of each month.
- Position does not provide benefits.
