The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Givens Estates Health Center's Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be directed by the Health Services Director, to assure that the highest degree of quality care will be maintained at all times. What you'll do:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Givens Estates Health Center Nursing department, as well as its programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Work Collaboratively with Givens Estates Health Center leadership and team members from Environmental Services, Dining, Life Enrichment, administration as well as leadership and team members in Givens Estates Assisted Living and Independent Living
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Health Services Director as necessary/required
- Hire staff as necessary and within budgeted guidelines
- Set goals & performance criteria for staff & conduct annual performance evaluations
- Work with the leadership at all levels to move toward a household model of care, embracing culture change and an interdisciplinary approach to care
- Perform and other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

Minimum Education & Experience:
- Nursing degree is necessary and an unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the State of NC is required
- Must have, as a minimum, three years of experience in a supervisory capacity in long-term care
- Must be able to maintain educational credits that are required by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Must have unencumbered Nursing license from a compact state if nurse does not reside in North Carolina
