Architect/Project Manager

GKO Architects is a Ambler, PA based architectural firm with an emphasis on Educational, Religious, Municipal and General Commercial Projects. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect Manager who is highly motivated to engage in all levels of architectural projects from preliminary design through construction administration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architecture, project management, construction and design, essential in ensuring the successful completion of each project. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a keen eye for design.

Duties

• Lead architectural design projects from conception through completion, utilizing software.
• Collaborate with clients contractors, engineers and team members to facilitate effective communication and negotiation.
• Create detailed sketches and design concepts using software such as CAD and/or Revit, based on client specifications.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
• Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior architects and design team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager Architect.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD(required), Revit and Sketchup(helpful).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in contract negotiation, budgeting and cost estimation.
• A portfolio showcasing previous architectural work is highly desirable.
