What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Inspector - Overnight shift position at GL Staffing Services, Inc.?
Our clients objective is discovers, develops, and markets vertical integration of pharmaceutical manufacturing and private label skincare. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products to assist physicians with their patients in the areas of dermatology and plastic surgery. The medications are customized to meet the needs of patients that are unable to tolerate commercially available medications.
We are looking for a Quality Inspector for the overnight shift. The schedule for this position is 12pm. – 8:30 am. Sunday night to Thursday night.
We need candidates with previous experience in QA/QC in production manufacturing companies in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food industries.
QA Inspector Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- QA Inspection activities associated with the product compounding/production process to ensure quality
- Conducts approval of pre-start-up activities including line/room clearance, and initial equipment checks
- Consistently reviews in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time compliance to product specifications, good documentation practices, company SOP’s and cGMP’s.
- Discusses errors directly with personnel so corrections can be made if required.
- Reviews logbooks for accuracy and compliance
- Provide real-time guidance to operations personnel pertaining to compliance to cGMP’s by monitoring dress code, documentation practices, testing methods, and testing accuracy.
- Monitoring assigned area(s) to ensure a safe workplace environment is maintained and reporting any potentially unsafe practices to QA management
- Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains exceptional work attendance.
- Responsible for conducting duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOP’s, and cGMP Guidelines
- Understands and follows written instructions provided in company procedures and specifications
- Communicating inspection failures, deviations, and non-conformances to QA Management
- Assisting in communicating and interacting effectively with compounding and production personnel
- Assist with other QA related tasks as delegated by QA Management.
- Participates in process improvement projects
QA Inspector Experience & Qualifications:
- HS or GED with 3 years of experience
- Detail Oriented
- Must have uncompromising dedication to quality
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills
- CGMP Knowledge
- Experience in FDA regulated environment (Pharmaceutical/cosmetics/food, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, math skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork skills
